One man died after a car and lorry collided along the Bintulu–Samalaju Coastal Road this morning. A team from the Kidurong Fire and Rescue Station was called to the crash at about 8.41am. Firefighters found the driver trapped in the Proton Preve. He was extricated using rescue tools and handed to Ministry of Health personnel, who confirmed his death at the scene. A 56-year-old fishing boat owner was injured while trying to put out a fire on his own vessel in Miri. A second body has been found after a boat capsized in Sungai Seperot near Baram, with two people still missing. Firefighters rescued two people in separate crashes on Tuesday night, including an unconscious teenage driver in Kota Samarahan.
