Three people were pulled safely from the Sarawak River near Jalan Petanak early this morning.

A Chinese woman reportedly fell into the river near an apartment along Jalan Petanak, Kuching, before a Chinese man went in to help her.
An apartment employee also entered the water to stop both of them from being swept away.
Bomba Padungan received the call at 3.04am on Tuesday, Aug 4, and found three people holding on at the riverbank.
What happened
Firefighters used a lifebuoy and rescue ropes to bring them up safely.
The rescue was under control at 3.45am and wrapped up at 4.18am. No injuries were reported.
The two Chinese nationals declined medical treatment and were later escorted back to their apartment before the matter was handed to police for further action.
