Upon arrival, firefighters found three individuals clinging to the riverbank. Initial reports indicated that an adult Chinese woman had fallen into the river, and an adult Chinese man entered the water to try to save her. An apartment employee also jumped in to assist and prevent the pair from being swept away by the current.
Firefighters used a lifebuoy and rescue ropes to bring both victims to safety. The man and woman were escorted back to their apartment by security personnel and handed over to police.
