Lawas coastal highway gas leak: Bomba sets safety zone

A gas leak along the Northern Coastal Highway in Lawas has forced Bomba to set up a safety zone and stop nearby work for now.
Source: Bomba / DayakDailyBomba said the leak was detected at Kampung Dato on Thursday, July 23.
Firefighters from Lawas station were sent out after a call came in at 5pm. Once at the scene, they placed safety barriers about 40 metres from the leak.
Location: Northern Coastal Highway, Kampung Dato, Lawas
Details: The contractor was told to stop work near the leaking area. Bomba will continue periodic monitoring.For people passing that stretch, better give way to the safety team and avoid slowing down just to look.
