Sarawak Teachers' Union says the school meal programme should cover secondary students too, especially those from low-income families. A gas leak reported beside the Northern Coastal Highway at Kampung Dato, Lawas on July 23 prompted firefighters to establish a safety perimeter and stop nearby work. Residents at Ing Liing Residence in Bintulu say recurring flash floods are leaving mud, soil and debris around their homes. A foreign man suspected of installing ATM skimming devices in Brunei was arrested at Miri Airport. PETROS is producing oil onshore in Sarawak again after a 50-year break.
