Over 2,000 NCR land titles handed over in Bau today — the biggest single distribution in the area yet.
Tasik Biru assemblyman Datuk Henry Harry Jinep presented 2,109 Native Customary Rights (NCR) land titles at the newly completed Bidayuh Cultural Centre (BCC) in Bau. This brings the total land titles issued in Tasik Biru since 2018 to 6,168 lots.
Location: Bidayuh Cultural Centre, Bau (about 40 minutes from Kuching)
Breakdown:
1,316 individual agricultural & residential lots to 1,142 recipients across 7 villages
793 lots under SALCRA scheme covering OPE Bratak and OPE Jagoi
2 communal reserve gazette notifications covering 130.7 hectares (Banan + Senggi Poak)

️ "This didn't happen overnight," said Henry, who is also Deputy Transport Minister (Riverine & Marine). The ground surveys started back in 2007 through collaboration between DBNA and the Land & Survey Department.
The handover reflects the Sarawak government's push under PCDS 2030 to resolve long-standing NCR land issues across the state.
