More than 1.25 million hectares of Native Customary Rights (NCR) land had been surveyed across Sarawak by Aug 31, a progress update at a Kuching land and survey event on Wednesday said.
The next steps run from boundary checks through documentation and registration to issuing titles. The state says community engagement remains part of that process, even as technology is used to speed up the work.
The figure measures surveyed land; it does not mean every lot has been registered or titled. The update gave no district-by-district breakdown or timetable for the remaining stages.
