    A pre-dawn fire in Tabuan Hilir destroyed six homes and damaged a seventh on June 28, leaving 44 residents from six families without a place to stay. The Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department received the call at 3.41am and reached the scene four minutes later. Twenty-eight firefighters from Tabuan Jaya, Padungan and Batu Lintang stations responded with five vehicles. The fire was brought under control at 4.44am and the operation ended at 7.08am.
