The Sarawak Civil Service Digitalisation Unit, under the Department of the Premier of Sarawak, won the Malaysia Social Equity and Inclusion Initiative of the Year - Community category at the GovMedia Conference & Awards 2026. Why it matters The winning initiative, Service Sarawak, puts multiple government services under one access point through counters, digital channels and mobile services. According to SCSDU, it has handled over 5.5 million transactions, served more than 3.4 million customers, and recorded RM6.1 billion in collections across its channels. The unit also said service delivery time has been cut by up to 75%, with customer satisfaction staying above 97% over the past three years.
