砂拉越延长100名福利人员服务两年

砂拉越内阁已批准，砂拉越社会福利局（Sarawak Social Welfare Department，JKMS）的100名福利服务人员延长服务两年。他们原定于12月31日结束服务，续聘决定在9月24日的内阁会议上通过。
这些人员协助处理福利个案和灾害援助，也支援Kenyalang Gold Card（KGC）等计划。砂拉越目前记录有57,211名每月福利援助受惠者，包括儿童、长者、残障人士及卧床者。
原服务期将在今年底届满，这次决定让现有支援团队继续投入相关工作。福利个案不只来自灾害现场，部门每月也要处理面向不同群体的援助事务。公告没有提出新的福利金额或资格调整，因此这是一项人员服务延续安排，并非新增现金援助项目。
