西连RM3287万新路动工！两村车程料缩短到10分钟

西连一项RM3287万乡区道路工程已经动工，未来两座甘榜之间的车程有望大幅缩短。
这条新路将连接 Kedup 选区的 Kampung Mayang Kawan 和 Kampung Mentung Mubuk，预计让7个村、共 3653名居民 受惠。
教育、创新及人才发展部长 拿督斯里Roland Sagah Wee Inn 表示，这项工程通过 Greater Kuching Coordinated Development Agency（GKCDA） 推动，并由 西连公共工程局（JKR Serian Division） 负责建设。
工程完成后，Kampung Mayang Kawan 到 Kampung Mentung Mubuk 的路程，将从 28.4公里缩短到8.7公里。车程也预计从大约 35分钟降到约10分钟。
除了方便村民出入，这条路也会改善通往3所小学和农业区的交通，帮助农产品运输、降低交通成本，也让基本服务更容易到达乡区。
