Bekenu邮局失火，约70%建筑受损

美里省Bekenu一所马来西亚邮政单层建筑星期六早上失火，约70%建筑受损。
消拯局在上午8时44分接获紧急投报，随后从距离约38公里的Batu Niah派队伍前往现场。消拯员于9时21分抵达，使用一条400英尺水管和两支水枪灭火，水源取自附近河流。
这座约40乘40英尺的单层建筑受火势影响。火势扑灭后，消拯员进行检查和善后工作，确认没有残余火源，行动于中午12时30分结束。警方、民防部队、砂拉越能源公司、邮政员工及志愿警卫队也参与行动。
起火原因和预估损失仍在调查中。平时使用Bekenu柜台的民众，前往办理邮政服务前应先等候营运方公布安排，并远离现场的安全管制范围。
