Sarawak plans to develop a low-carbon hub and gateway at Tanjung Embang as part of its push towards a green, high-income economy, Premier Abang Johari said at the Malaysia Day celebration in Kuching on Sept 16.
He also cited Bintulu’s inclusion in the World Economic Forum’s Transitioning Industrial Clusters and cooperation with the Asian Development Bank. A projection of RM100 billion in investment over the next decade was also mentioned.
The hub, the financing and the investment figure are plans or estimates at this stage. No completed project, construction schedule or confirmed investment package was announced.
