Borneo Cultures Museum is the Kuching museum I would prioritise when time is limited. The building is large, but the real reason is that its galleries connect rivers, landscapes, communities, history and material culture in one route. Opened in 2022, it is owned by the Sarawak Museum Department and is widely described as Malaysia's largest museum. The exhibition levels are arranged by themes rather than a simple room-by-room list of objects. In Harmony with Nature looks at life across coastal, rainforest and highland environments. Time Changes follows settlement and political change, while Objects of Desire brings together selected craft and material-culture pieces. Adults interested in Sarawak history should allow more time for Time Changes; families may prefer to spend longer at the river and interactive sections. It does not replace listening to communities or visiting living cultural sites, but it gives useful structure before you explore further.

In Harmony with Nature 介绍沿海、雨林与高地环境中的生活;Time Changes 追踪聚落和政治变化;Objects of Desire 则展示精选工艺与物质文化。
