烟霾改善，砂拉越10个教育区学校8月24日照常复课

烟霾指数回落，砂拉越 10 个教育区的学校将在 8 月 24 日照常复课。
砂拉越州教育局表示，涉及的教育区包括古晋、Padawan、 Bau、Lundu、Samarahan、Simunjan、Serian、Sri Aman、Lubok Antu 和 Betong。复课决定是根据环境局 APIMS 系统在 8 月 23 日上午 10 时记录的 API 数据作出。
教育局提醒学校继续观察各地情况。API 超过 100 时，必须暂停学生户外活动；超过 200 时，受影响地区的学校必须立即关闭；如果超过 500，教师和校方员工也无需到校。
复课的前提是 API 继续维持在 200 以下。砂拉越州灾难管理委员会之后也可以根据情况建议临时关闭学校。
教育局建议学生戴口罩、多喝水，避免长时间暴露在炎热或烟霾环境中。学校可通过环境局 APIMS 以及砂拉越自然资源与环境局网站查看最新数据。
