8月12日下午4时，古晋空气污染指数（API）达177，砂拉越多地烟霾恶化。
根据空气污染指数管理系统（APIMS）数据，砂拉越当时有11个地区达到不健康水平，另外两个地区达到非常不健康水平。
Tebedu的API达214，Serian警区总部（IPD Serian）达201。三马拉汉（Samarahan）为178，古晋则是177。
其他不健康读数包括Lubok Antu 165、泗里街（Sarikei）160、斯里阿曼（Sri Aman）157、民都鲁（Bintulu）153、美里（Miri）151、诗巫（Sibu）124、伦乐（Lundu）111、Samalaju 110和老越（Lawas）102。
API介于101至200属于不健康，201至300则属于非常不健康。读数每小时更新。
