砂沙57席联盟，分析员：数字还不够

砂拉越和沙巴加起来有57个国会议席，但政治分析员认为，单靠这个数字还不足以真正左右联邦立法。

古晋，7月26日：政治分析员拿督 Prof Dr Jayum Jawan 认为，所谓“婆罗洲联盟”（Borneo Bloc）如果只是把砂沙议席加起来，影响力未必像外界想象中那么大。
他说，砂拉越和沙巴目前合共掌握 222个国会议席中的57席，大约占 26%。相比之下，西马国会议席有125席，数字上仍然占明显多数。

Jayum 说，砂拉越和沙巴当然是马来西亚成立时的平等伙伴，但如果西马国会议员一致投票，砂沙57席并不足以阻止法案通过。
这番话是回应 Borneo Dayak Forum International 主席拿督斯里邦里玛 Dr 杰菲里吉丁岸（Jeffrey Kitingan） 的建议。杰菲里吉丁岸 早前提出，砂拉越和沙巴应该组成国会联盟，一起争取 MA63 下的宪法权益。
杰菲里吉丁岸 认为，如果两州能用一个声音说话，在国会谈判时会更有力量，尤其砂拉越过去通过 GPS 的政治团结，在油气权益上已有进展。
讨论不会就这样结束
Jayum 也承认，近年砂沙争取更多自主权的声音越来越大，和联邦政治不再由单一大党主导有关。
所以，这不是说联盟没有意义。只是现实很直接：团结重要，席位数字也一样重要。
