砂教师会促中学生也获食物援助

砂拉越教师会呼吁政府，把学校食物援助计划扩大到中学，尤其帮助低收入家庭学生。
砂拉越教师会（STU）促请政府考虑把 Rancangan Makanan Tambahan（RMT）从小学扩大到中学。
副主席 Yong Sie Hing 表示，仍有一些中学生因为家庭经济困难，没吃早餐就到学校上课。这不只影响健康，也会影响专注力、学习动力和成绩。
STU 也提醒，乡区和内陆学校的学生福利需要更认真处理，包括贫困、学习设施、交通、网络、教师宿舍、水电和教学资源等问题。
该会表示，愿意协助收集可靠资料提交给政府，也会探索与企业、NGO 和福利组织合作，帮助有需要的学生减轻负担。
