砂拟资助80人报读UNIMAS医科，新增名额待下次招生

砂拉越计划资助本地学生报读砂拉越大学（UNIMAS）医科，名额增至80个。砂总理阿邦佐哈里（Abang Johari Tun Openg）说，其中40个为原有名额，另外40个是在与大学商讨后增加，预计从下一次招生开始提供。
他周五在古晋出席砂总理特别奖及砂教育奖颁奖礼时表示，费用将由砂拉越基金会承担；参加这项州资助计划的学生无需通过UPU系统申请。
总理说，砂拉越需要在本地培养更多医生。另一方面，诗巫砂拉越科技大学（UTS）也正为设立医学院作准备，包括招聘教学人员，相关准备工作可能需约两年。
报道没有列出新增UNIMAS名额的具体申请日期或资格细则；80个名额也不是指全部新增。
