老越公路隧道逐步成形 砂沙第二阶段道路目标2029年完成

砂沙衔接公路第二阶段（SSLR2）的老越Bukit Pagon隧道正逐步成形。这条全长2.24公里的隧道，属于砂拉越北部道路建设的一环，不是已经开放通车的新路线。
《婆罗洲邮报》10月24日引述砂公共工程局说明，这项工程将穿越当地山地。整项SSLR2道路网络长335.54公里，衔接范围包括美里、林梦、老越及峇加拉兰。
对砂沙两地往来的驾驶者，日后最实际的改变，是多一条不必经过汶莱的替代道路；对长期依赖木山路的内陆社区，则是改善出入条件。不过，这些是道路网络完成后的预期效益，不能把隧道施工进展当成现在就能改走新路的讯号。
SSLR2于2025年9月推展，估计耗资76亿令吉，由砂公共工程局负责落实，目标2029年完成。76亿令吉是整项道路工程的估算，不是单条隧道造价；整项工程的完成目标，也不等于隧道已有独立、确定的通车日期。
