砂发展项目须先核准供水设计 再提呈规划申请

准备在古晋或砂拉越其他地区发展土地，申请人须先处理供水设计，再提呈规划申请。住宅、商业、工业及政府建筑等项目，都必须把储水槽、增压泵站和相关设施纳入规划，并符合技术要求。
砂公用事业与通讯部长朱莱希（Julaihi Narawi）10月19日在砂立法议会部门总结时，说明所需程序：先由砂乡区水供局（JBALB）或Sarawak Water确认系统设计及设施用地是否适合，再经土地与测量局，把发展申请交州规划机构审议；相关确认也须在工程图提呈工程图审批委员会前取得。
这与现有场所的日常储水维护，是两件事。朱莱希同时提醒私人及商业场所业主，保养屋顶或地面的储水槽，以应付高峰用水和供水中断。土地发展须先核准供水，并不等于所有已有人居住的房屋要重新提交发展申请；对新项目，供水容量及设施用地则不能留到设计后期才考虑。
