砂拉越乡区学校列入全国公共场所太阳能计划；计划涵盖的283所乡区学校，是砂拉越、沙巴及半岛的合计，并非全数位于砂州。
《DayakDaily》10月14日报道，工程部长说明，公共工程局采用并网及离网光伏系统，相关计划范围还包括46栋联邦政府建筑、4个警方边境哨站，以及一座原住民村庄。
报道中的几组数字，分别对应不同范围。部长估计，整体措施每年有望节省最高1亿1500万令吉能源费用；这是预期节省，不是砂州学校已实际省下的电费。报道未列出各州学校数目或名单。
当天在Wisma Putra举行的移交仪式，则涉及5项工程、6处政府场所，装机容量合计779.86千瓦峰值，预计年发电量1070兆瓦时。这组容量与发电量，不能套用到全部283所乡区学校，也不代表古晋当天新增了同等规模的设施。
