古晋拟增三家私人医院 砂半年医疗旅客收入1.099亿

砂拉越今年上半年医疗旅客收入达1亿990万令吉，较去年同期9060万令吉增加；旅客人数则由4万6793人升至4万8480人。
这些是全砂数据，不能直接当作古晋的收入或旅客总数。砂旅游部门10月12日在古晋婆罗洲会展中心举行的医疗旅游大会上公布有关数字，DayakDaily报道，古晋现有五家私人医院，另有三家计划加入市场，涉及约14亿5000万令吉的私人医疗投资承诺。
三家医院的地点与开业日期并未在该报道中列明，因此目前是计划中的扩充，不代表已有三家新医院可以接诊。大会是在古晋举行，也不能据此把所有全砂统计都归入古晋。
医疗旅客常有家属或照顾者陪同，住宿、餐饮和交通也会带来需求。对古晋服务业而言，除了投资额，接下来更具体的进展是医院何时投入服务，以及实际增加多少医疗容量。
