砂西部季候风过渡期今起 午后雷雨风险增

古晋及砂拉越西部居民接下来要留意午后和傍晚初段的短时强降雨。气象局预料，季候风过渡期从10月9日开始，持续至月底；雷雨可能伴随闪电和强风。
气象局在10月6日的声明中说明，过渡期风向多变、风力偏弱，有利雷雨云形成。这类天气不一定整天下雨，但短时间内可能带来突发水灾、河水暴涨、树木倒塌及不牢固建筑受损的风险。
这是一段时期的天气展望，不是指古晋每天下午都已发布雷雨警报。需要安排户外行程的居民，可通过myCuaca应用程式及气象局官方渠道查看最新预报和警告；10月9日是预料过渡期的起点，不是指定暴风雨到来的时间。气象局热线为1-300-22-1638。
这轮过渡期也标志着5月14日开始的西南季候风结束。气象局预料风向改变会逐渐减轻跨境烟霾影响，但不能据此认定古晋当下空气质量已经改善。
