古晋Lebuh Java拟建节庆广场 造价150万令吉

古晋河滨一带拟增加一处供市民休憩及共庆节日的公共空间。北市市政局计划在Lebuh Java建设节庆广场（Festival Square），占地1,230平方公尺，造价150万令吉。
这项由北市市政局推动、国油砂拉越（PETRONAS Sarawak）担任策略伙伴的工程，预计需8个月施工。10月8日在Lebuh Java举行的新闻发布会说明，工程预料近期展开；8个月是预计施工期，并不是已经确定的启用日期。
广场规划设有座椅、传统游戏空间，以及适合长者、青年和儿童使用的设施，作为现有古晋河滨的补充。智能厕所、灰水回收、太阳能和猫形地标也列在规划内，不能把这些设施当成已经建好、现在就可使用。
对常到河滨散步或休闲的居民而言，项目重点是增加共享空间，并提供主要节庆的聚集场地。这次说明未列出确切开工及开放日期，也未公布工区周边的通行安排。
