截至9月19日上午10时，古晋空气污染指数达169点，属于不健康水平；砂拉越多数监测区也处于同一等级。
卡诺威录得全州最高指数182点，其次是鲁勃安都179点及西连170点。三马拉汉和斯里阿曼同为163点，伦乐则为162点。美里、林梦和巴里奥的指数较低，木胶当天没有相关数据。
这意味着古晋、三马拉汉、西连及伦乐一带的空气状况，不能只用单一市区读数判断；居民若要安排户外工作或活动，应以出发前的最新指数为准。
环境部表示，区域烟霾情况包括来自加里曼丹热点的烟羽移向砂拉越西部。民众受促避免露天焚烧，并通过官方渠道留意空气质量和卫生建议；对烟霾敏感者在户外活动前更应先查看最新读数。
