砂拉越拟建3座废料发电厂 潜在发电量1330兆瓦

砂拉越计划在北部、中部及南部兴建3座废料发电厂，潜在总发电量最高可达1330兆瓦。
有关构想包括设置卫星收集中心，把周边地区的生活垃圾、木材废料、生物质、动物废料及工业废料，系统运往发电设施。州政府希望同时减少需要处理的废料，并增加电力来源。
这项计划属于砂拉越推动循环经济的一部分。位于Mambong的古晋综合废料管理园区，另有利用填埋气体发电的试点；有关项目全面扩大后，潜在发电量为每天700吨废料产生最高3兆瓦电力。
1330兆瓦是规划中的潜在容量，不代表目前已经发出的电力。最新公布尚未列出3座发电厂地点、施工时间表或最终监管框架；州政府则提出明年制定新的废料发电条例。
