砂拉越正探索与香港建立合作关系，争取为半导体及深科技发展引入更多投资和商业机会。
有关讨论于周二在古晋举行，参与者包括砂拉越总理阿邦佐哈里（Abang Johari Tun Openg）、SMD Semiconductor及创投公司Gobi Partners。双方探讨的方向包括机构及策略投资、共同投资，以及新兴科技的商业化。
这项构想是把两套优势接起来：香港拥有金融和创新网络，砂拉越则在发展半导体、数码基础设施和科技能力。现阶段仍属于探索性质，下一步是找出可以落实合作的具体项目。
对砂拉越而言，重点暂时不是马上宣布兴建新工厂，而是为州内科技产业寻找资本、人才和技术伙伴，逐步从参与半导体制造迈向开发自有产品。
