Kuching Waterfront: The Heartbeat of Kuching City ð
-
If there's one place that defines Kuching, it's the Waterfront. Locals walk here almost every evening â joggers, families, couples, dog walkers, everyone. It's not just a tourist spot, it's where the city comes alive.
Opened in 1993 and stretching nearly 2km along the Sarawak River, the Kuching Waterfront is the first waterfront promenade ever built in Malaysia. It underwent a major upgrade from 2017-2019 with LED lighting and better walkways, and more renovations were announced in 2025.
