砂拉越林业加强火患高风险区巡逻 烟霾干旱威胁野生动物
砂拉越林业机构（SFC）在持续炎热干燥和烟霾天气下，已加强高风险林区的监测力度，以应对森林火险上升及野生动物面临的额外压力。
SFC总经理Abang Arabi Abang Aimran表示，当局特别在泥炭林区和靠近人类活动的地带展开地面巡逻，同时利用热点探测科技识别早期火苗。过去曾受林火影响的全保护区（TPA）获得重点关注。
古晋地区的巴哥国家公园、古晋湿地国家公园和萨姆萨姆野生动物保护区，以及美里地区的实务的野生动物保护区、蓝卑尔国家公园、尼亚国家公园和姆鲁国家公园均在密切监测之列。
SFC也已备好应急设备和受过训练的人员，包括兽医官员，以应对野生动物因林火受伤或烟霾导致健康问题。当局正与私营兽医中心和兽医服务局协调配合。
