Police arrested one rider and impounded 24 motorcycles in a late-night street-racing operation along Jalan Astana.

Kuching police said the operation was carried out near the Petronas station from 11.30pm on July 18 until 3am on July 19.
Kuching police chief ACP Alexson Naga Chabu said a 22-year-old local man was detained for alleged reckless and dangerous riding under Section 42(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987. His motorcycle was also seized.

Details: Police inspected 92 people and 80 motorcycles, impounded 24 motorcycles, and issued 129 summonses for various traffic offences.
