A Kuching breakfast route feels different when it follows a family recipe. At Goh Cafe on Jalan Rubber, cucur udang carries a story that began at the old Rex Cinema in 1967.

The signature prawn fritters come with Goh's chilli sauce and ground nuts. Goh Thing Chai now leads the family business at its newer premises; the family previously operated near the old Satok market for 45 years before moving when the lease neared its end.

The new cafe uses a more standardised workflow while keeping control of service and quality. Coffee and warm ABC accompany the fritters, but cucur udang remains the signature order.
