古晋3名中国籍人士涉家居维修骗局被扣查

古晋一场行动扣查3名中国籍人士，涉无证从事家居维修并疑与骗局有关。
砂拉越移民局与砂拉越消费者协会（PPS）于8月19日展开行动。PPS表示，3人当时无法出示有效身分文件或工作准证。
PPS接获的投诉显示，有人通过脸书广告招揽家居维修，先提供免费检查，再声称屋内出现漏水问题，提出钻小孔、注入液体的所谓“新科技”维修方法。
部分消费者被收取数千令吉，并被要求把钱汇入个人银行户头。有消费者付款后再也联络不到对方，漏水问题也没有解决。PPS表示，其中一间被检查的住家其实没有漏水问题。
PPS已把数宗同类投诉交给警方商业罪案调查组（CCID）调查，其中一宗案件经跟进后追回3000令吉赔偿。
消费者受促先核实维修人员身分，要求书面报价，付款时提高警惕，并保留广告、WhatsApp对话、照片、视频及收据。
找人维修房屋前，应要求书面报价、核实商家身份，并尽量避免把钱转入私人户口。广告、聊天记录、照片和收据都要保留，以便投诉或报案。
