Santubong Man Jailed 11 Months for Assaulting Younger Sister
-
A 28-year-old man has been jailed for 11 months after assaulting his younger sister in Santubong.
The man pleaded guilty at the Kuching Court Complex to voluntarily causing hurt to a family member. The offence happened on June 28 after his 16-year-old sister did not respond when he asked her to buy a lighter.
The court heard that he kicked her waist and punched her forehead. A medical assessment recorded soft-tissue injuries. He was arrested on Aug 13.
The charge was filed under Section 323 of the Penal Code, read with Section 326A, which applies when the victim is a family member.
The court outcome described above should be kept separate from online speculation. Any further hearing, appeal or investigation update should come through the relevant authority rather than social-media claims.
