25kg Drugs Seized in MJC Batu Kawah Raid

Police seized 25kg of suspected methamphetamine in MJC Batu Kawah, with a 63-year-old man arrested.
Kuching police made the arrest at a carpark in MJC Batu Kawah New Township during a raid on July 15.
Sarawak Police Commissioner Datuk Mohd Zainal Abdullah said the suspect was inside an SUV when police found the drugs, believed to be methamphetamine.
What police said
Police believe the man was acting as a runner for a drug trafficking syndicate.
He tested negative for drugs, but police said he had previous records under the Entertainment Ordinance and the Common Gaming Houses Act 1953.
The suspect has been remanded until Thursday. The case is being investigated under Section 39B of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.
