砂副部长促发展规划先纳遗产评估 勿待定案才补救

砂拉越城市规划、土地行政及环境副部长Len Talif Salleh促请各方，在发展计划初期就纳入文化与自然遗产考量，不要等重大决定作出后才处理保护问题。
他10月21日在古晋婆罗洲会展中心举行的国际古迹遗址理事会（ICOMOS）活动上提出，遗产评估应先弄清楚一个地点的价值、它对社区的意义，以及拟议发展可能造成的影响，再协调发展与保护需求。
《DayakDaily》引述砂公共传播单位报道上述谈话。
对面对未来发展建议的业主及社区而言，这种做法的关键在时序：仍有空间选择方案时，就把遗产价值摆上桌，而不是定案后才讨论如何挽救。此次谈话阐述的是规划方向，没有宣布新的法定审批条件，也未列出某个项目的新限制。
Len Talif Salleh同时强调，遗产机构、规划及环境单位、地方议会、研究机构与社区领袖须加强分享资料和专业研究，让决策能够同时理解地点本身及受影响社区。
