砂拉越打造林梦老越直连网络 减少依赖汶莱

林梦和老越商家、学校、医院及政府机构所依赖的网络，未来有望多一条不必绕经汶莱的砂拉越直连路线。
砂拉越数码经济机构（SDEC）与砂拉越电力公司（SESCO）8月26日在老越签署协议，计划利用州内现有通讯基础设施连接两地。整体网络衔接长度约1,926公里，并会采用 SESCO 的 Virtual Fibre 设施。
目前，老越商家面对电子付款网络问题，老越警察总部也曾出现网络连接不稳的情况。对北砂而言，这项工程要解决的不只是上网体验，也关系到线上学习、医疗、政府服务和紧急通讯能不能维持稳定。
协议目前只代表项目往前走了一步，尚未是正式启用通知。有关方面还没有公布上线时间、覆盖范围和速度目标；日后这些资料，才看得出乡区居民和各机构能否真正受惠。
