Ever walked into a house and had your brain say: wait, why is the sofa on the ceiling?

Upside Down House Kuching is not a huge half-day attraction. It is the kind of quick city stop where you go in for 30 to 45 minutes, pass your phone to the staff, and come out with a gallery full of silly photos.

Google / Wanderlog reviews sit around 4.6/5. A few visitors say the place is a bit hidden and not very big, but the staff service is the real win. People mentioned that the staff guide your poses, take photos with your own phone, and even help you get the angle right.

Tripadvisor reviews say almost the same thing: "great fun", friendly staff, and good for photo moments. One visitor said they spent about 45 minutes inside, which feels about right. Don't expect a museum-length visit, expect a light and funny photo stop.

The official Facebook page is also active, with its page showing 96% recommendation and opening hours from 9:30am to 6:00pm daily. Recent social posts keep pushing it as a family-and-friends place, which honestly is the right way to treat it.

Local listings like Sarawak Tourism, Merdeka Palace and Ticket2U describe the setup as a living room, dining room, kitchen, bedroom, bathroom, children's room and home office, all flipped upside down. So yes, it is very much built for camera play.

    Practical info:

Address: Ground Floor, No. 281-1-1, Lot 281, Section 48, KTLD, Block H, Taman Sri Sarawak, Jalan Tun Abdul Rahman / Jalan Borneo, 93100 Kuching. It is near Tune Hotel and the Waterfront side.

Opening hours: usually 9:30am to 6:00pm daily. Check their Facebook page before going, especially public holidays.

Tickets: older listings show local adult / child pricing around RM15 / RM10, while ticket promos may vary. Just treat the online price as a guide and confirm before you go.

    Quick tips:

    • Go with at least one friend, because the poses are funnier when someone is laughing behind the camera.
    • Ask the staff how to pose. That is where most people say the visit becomes worth it.
    • It is indoors, so it works nicely when Kuching suddenly rains.
    • Parking around the town area can be a bit annoying, so don't go at peak lunch time if you can avoid it.

For locals, this is not the kind of place you visit every month. But if you have cousins visiting Kuching, or you need one silly stop before dinner at the Waterfront, this one can do the job.
