MBKS Mayor to check viral RM76 Kuching food bill claim

A viral claim says an influencer ate RM76 worth of food at Kuching Food Festival without paying. MBKS says it will check first.
Source: DayakDailyKuching South City Council (MBKS) Mayor Dato Wee Hong Seng said he will look into the claim before drawing any conclusion.
He said during his ShallWeeTalk live session on July 25 that he was not sure if the allegation was true. If it is proven, he said the person involved should step forward and settle the bill.
Wee also reminded the public not to spread unverified claims too quickly, especially when images online may point people toward the wrong person.
He said vendors work hard for a living, and RM76 is not a small amount for small food operators.
