The government has officially gazetted a 10-year passport option — and here is what it costs.\n\nThe Fees (Passports and Visas) (Amendment) Order 2026 was published in the Government Gazette on June 3, clearing the way for Malaysian passports with a validity period of up to 10 years.\n\nCurrently, a standard passport costs RM200 for five years. Under the new scheme:\n\n- 10-year passport: RM350\n- Senior citizens (60+): RM175\n- OKU (disabled) holders 18+: Free\n- Immigration Dept staff: Free\n\n\n\nLost your passport?
