Police arrested a 22-year-old local man after seizing about 5.46kg of suspected cannabis in Kota Samarahan.

The operation took place in the Taman Samarindah area on Sunday, July 12. Police estimated the seized drugs at RM16,367.97.

Case under investigation

According to Kota Samarahan District Police Headquarters, the case is being investigated under Section 39B of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.

Police said they will continue operations against drug trafficking, and asked the public to share information on drug abuse or trafficking activities.
